About the project

Skaraborgs Träförädling AB operates a sawmill and a separate planing mill, producing around 100,000 m³ of planed material annually – 95% of which is exported. With a monthly loading volume of 50 to 70 containers, the company turned to SmartTEH to support the efficiency and reliability of its export operations.

Initial challenges

Manual product loading often resulted in damaged packages and required extensive forklift use, which impacted time and resource management.

By transitioning to a more advanced solution, the company aimed to reduce handling-related risks, lower operational strain, and ensure a smoother, more controlled loading process – supporting their high standards for product quality and delivery.

Skaraborgs Träförädling AB decided to invest in our Automatic Container Loading System to make the container loading process more reliable and efficient.

Results

In roughly one month, nearly 100 containers have been loaded using the system.

The company has significantly reduced costs previously incurred from rebanding and damaged goods. Any damage that occurs is now clearly identified as happening after leaving the site, providing added confidence.

There have also been substantial time savings, with loads prepared in advance and operations managed using just one forklift.

Now that the system has been reviewed up close, it is clear that the build quality and components are excellent. Everything is made from high-grade materials, and there have been no complaints.
